Hand & UPPER LIMB REHAB
Over the years we have come to learn that every person has their own perspective and needs. We listen to what the person is looking for, develop a relationship of trust, and take it from there.
ASSESSMENT
We want to know your history, your present status, and your goals. In your words, and through an in-depth interview. We measure lots of things. We also know that spending the time and developing a therapeutic alliance is key if we're going to get to an optimal outcome.
Diagnostics
What's been looked at? Is this information really helpful? Would other information add to a better treatment plan? We are happy to consult with other health care professionals within the healthcare system to get all the right information.
Diagnosis
What do we determine is the problem. Given that problem, what is the best way forward - with input from the client in this matter. We want you to know the options and be informed about your choices for care.
planning
Rehab is always the first choice. We work at developing that plan through patient education and implementation of effective strategies within our model. If there needs to be other compensatory strategies, we consider that, too. Ultimately, we are about our clients taking successful control of their own care. We want to foster effective self-management and get out of your way! We are always here for clients after discharge from service - but we never want them to be dependent on us.
